SIR E.U THE GREAT - WOMBO EP
Young Hippo da Kang decided to drop his new WOMBO EP during this past Coachella weekend. On top of that, it’s also an unstreamable project (blogger RAGE). Fortunately for him, he’s broken that “preview-first threshold” and is trustworthy enough to warrant a listen at this point (most of you artists haven’t, so please don’t do like he do). Alright, so let’s get to the music. This EP might be E.U’s best display of beat selection yet. With an artist as wordy as he is, the beats HAVE to be easily digestible so you can bask in all the lyrical spiritual miracles. As usual, the bars are brought to the table in full force and E.U has managed to sharpen his free-associative flows to more interesting heights and plays around with the 4th wall a bit by tastefully trolling the listener (shining example: “After F” ft. Avionadramida). Overall, the kid has refined his style and made quite the fun record. Stay tuned for E.U’s upcoming full length project coming soon.
